Uros Medic opened the main card with an emphatic finish of UFC mainstay Tim Means. Just 2:09 was all Medic (10-2 MMA, 4-2 UFC) needed to land a slick counter uppercut to floor Means (33-16-1 MMA, 15-13 UFC) and return to the win column. The Dana White’s Contender Series veteran won his first bonus in his UFC debut against Aalon Cruz for a first-round finish, and now claims his second for another opening-round finish of Means.

Jhonata Diniz’s UFC debut had it’s ups and downs, but was ultimately able to secure a bonus-earning finish. Austen Lane made it rough for Diniz (7-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) in Round 1, controlling a majority of the frame on the mat. However, in Round 2, Diniz let his hands go, resulting in a knockout finish of Lane (12-5 MMA, 0-2 UFC) at 2:12. One fight down, one bonus secured for the Brazilian heavyweight.

Bogdan Guskov kept his momentum going in a big way by finishing Ryan Spann in the co-main event. Guskov (16-3 MMA, 2-1 UFC) connected with clean punches in Round 2, wobbling and dropping Spann (21-10 MMA, 7-5 UFC). The hard follow-up shots ended the fight soon after. Guskov walks out the UFC Apex with his second consecutive bonus on the heels of a first-round finish of Zac Pauga in February.

Alex Perez made his case for No. 1 contender status with a brutal knockout of Matheus Nicolau in the main event. After a competitive first round, Perez (25-8 MMA, 7-4 UFC) clipped Nicolau with a clean punch as he pressed forward, sending Nicolau (19-4-1 MMA, 7-3 UFC) folding to the ground. Perez, who may find himself in a title fight next, secured the third bonus of his UFC tenure. His first two came in 2020 in stoppage wins over Jordan Espinoza and Jussier Formiga.
