Dakota Ditcheva won’t be aiming for a championship repeat in 2025.
The PFL announced the eight-woman field for this season’s flyweight tournament, a list that includes former Bellator champion Liz Carmouche and Juliana Velasquez, as well as veterans Taila Santos and Kana Watanabe.
Noticeably absent from the list is Ditcheva, who tore through the 2024 season, including a second-round TKO of Santos in a tournament final to claim a PFL championship and a $1 million prize. The news isn’t surprising given Ditcheva had recently told MMA Fighting she had not committed to another tournament run.

- Taila Santos (22-4)
- Liz Carmouche (22-8)
- Kana Watanabe (13-3-1)
- Juliana Velasquez (13-3)
- Jena Bishop (7-2)
- Elora Dana (7-0)
- Ilara Joanne (12-9)
- Diana Asvaragova (6-1)
Santos, Carmouche, Watanabe, Velasquez, Bishop, and Joanne are all returning to the tournament field, while Dana and Asvaragova make their PFL debuts.
Tuesday’s announcement could set up several rematches, with Carmouche and Santos having met in the 2024 semifinal, which Santos won by unanimous decision. The other semifinal saw Bishop fall to Ditcheva.
Watanabe, Velasquez, and Joanne look to make their tournament climb after falling short of the 2024 post-season.
Dana joins PFL with a 7-0 record, having most recently competed for Brazil’s Jungle Fight promotion. Diana Asvaragova comes over from Bellator, having won her first four fights for the now-defunct promotion before dropping a unanimous decision to Justine Kish in her most recent outing in August 2023.
Seeding for the tournament is still to be announced.
The 2025 PFL flyweight tournament is set to kick off on April 11, with the show set to broadcast on ESPN2 and ESPN+.
