Cody Durden is looking to make a statement at UFC 326.

Durden is set to take on Nyamjargal Tumendemberel in an intriguing fight at flyweight. Although neither is ranked, Durden has been fighting the who’s who at flyweight, but he doesn’t care that he’s fighting an unranked opponent.

“I’m a veteran, I feel like I’ve fought most of the division,” Durden said on Just Scrap Radio on BJPENN.com. “This is my 15th UFC fight. I think he’s a good opponent, not as much experience as I have. Definitely durable, strong, and hard-hitting flyweight.”

Entering the bout, Durden has been working with Kyoji Horiguchi and Alexandre Pantoja throughout the camp. But Horiguchi has been his main training partner, and he believes he’s leveled up, and he will prove that against Nyamjargal Tumendemberel at UFC 326.

“I’ve been working with Kyoji (Horiguchi) non-stop,” Durden said. “Drilling with him, coach Mike Brown, all of them. I have done some grappling with (Alexandre) Pantoja. I’m feeling good, feeling confident in my training. I’m going to get it done. …

“Man, I’m going in there to finish this guy, whether it’s on the feet or on the ground. Anywhere the fight goes, I just want to be a step ahead. With my training now and who I’m training with, he’s not going to be faster than Kyoji. I feel like he’s leveled me up, and I can tell. I’m sharper, more aware of situations now. It’s going to be a great day, March 7.”

Cody Durden has full confidence heading into UFC 326

Although Cody Durden expects to finish Tumendemberel at UFC 326, he is entering the fight on a three-fight losing streak.

However, Durden said he doesn’t focus on if he’s fighting for his job as he knows he always brings it, win or lose.

“No, man. The way I look at it, I’m going to be successful with anything I do,” Durden said. “It’s about my drive and passion. Just keeping a positive mindset, with a goal in mind, I can accomplish anything. The day is going to come when I won’t be fighting in the UFC anymore, and when that day comes, I’ll accept it. Until then, I’m one of the most exciting UFC flyweights there is. You can’t say my fights are boring.”

Should Durden get his hand raised, he knows he can work up the flyweight rankings quickly. But the goal for Durden is to go 3-0 in 2026.

“2026 is the resurrection. The resurrection begins, and it all begins on March 7 when I prove that I’m the better fighter. … The goal is to get three wins, and it all starts with one. My focus is on this fight only,” Durden concluded.
