UPDATE: PWInsider has an update with more details on former Raw and Smackdown women’s champion Alexa Bliss. According to the report, Bliss has recently been out of action after suffering a concussion injury.
Unfortunately, this appears to be the latest of several concussion injuries she’s suffered during her WWE career. Bliss last wrestled on Raw on April 29 in a losing effort to Naomi.
Based on Nikki Cross replacing Alexa Bliss in a match last Monday on Raw, which she won, that would appear to make Cross the frontrunner to possibly replace Bliss in this weekend’s women’s Money in the Bank match at the event. WWE has not yet announced Bliss’ replacement.
WWE Money in the Bank 2019 is set for Sunday, May 19. The event will be held at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut. The event will be broadcast live on the WWE Network.
ORIGINAL: WWE has announced that Alexa Bliss has not been medically cleared to compete at Money in the Bank this Sunday and as a result has been pulled from the women’s ladder match. She was set to appear in the match along with Naomi, Dana Brooke, Natalya, Carmella, Ember Moon, Mandy Rose and Bayley. A replacement is expected to be named soon. The event happens this Sunday in Hartford, Connecticut.
