TUF: Latin America 2 runner-up Horacio Gutierrez signs with Combate Americas, set to debut in April

Former UFC fighter Horacio Gutierrez will now fight for Combate Americas.

The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America 2 finalist signed an exclusive, multi-fight deal with promotion. Gutierrez made the announcement on Friday, and MMA Fighting later confirmed the news with Combate Americas.

Additionally, MMA Fighting learned that the 27-year-old fighter will debuting at Combate Estrellas 2, which will take place on April 20 in Monterrey, Mexico. The promotion expects to confirm Gutierrezs opponent sometime this week.

Gutierrez made it to the finals of TUF: Latin America 2, defeating Daniel Salas and current UFC lightweight Polo Reyes. Punisher lost to Enrique Barzola in the final of the tournament, which took place at UFC Fight Night 78 on November 2015. Gutierrez then took a short-notice fight with Teruto Ishihara at UFC Fight Night 92 in Salt Lake City, but was knocked out in the first round. The loss to Ishihara prompted Gutierrezs release from the UFC.

Gutierrez last fought in May, stopping Antonio Suarez at Valhalla FC, an event that took place in Mexico City. Gutierrez is currently 4-3 as a professional fighter.
