Tom Phillips Wants Kofi Kingston vs. Daniel Bryan to Headline WrestleMania

– Speaking to SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio, WWE announcer Tom Phillips revealed that he would “selfishly” like to see a potential Daniel Bryan vs. Kofi Kingston match headline WrestleMania 35 this year. Phillips stated the following when asked what match he as a fans wants to see headline the show:

“Oh gosh. I gotta be honest. If it’s Kofi Kingston that somehow gets a WWE title opportunity against Daniel Bryan, I selfishly as the Smackdown guy would love to see that in the main event. That’s not to say that Lesnar/Rollins could main event any pay-per-view on any day, any year. And then this Triple Threat with the women is so incredible, and there’s never been a women’s main event in the history of WrestleMania. So, I think they are equally deserving, but selfishly, the Kofi story right now — I’m hooked.”

On next week’s edition of Smackdown Live, Kingston will have to survive a gauntlet match against Erick Rowan, The Bar (Sheamus and Cesaro), Randy Orton, and Samoa Joe in order to get a title shot against Bryan at WrestleMania.
