– It looks like MMA fighter and former champion Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal is getting back into professional wrestling. PWInsider reports that the former Strikeforce Light Heavyweight champion, King Mo Lawal, is going to make his official debut for Major League Wrestling (MLW) at tomorrow’s (Nov. 10) TV tapings for MLW in Orlando, Florida.
Lawal announced his retirement from MMA last night at Bellator 233. He lost to ANdrew Kapel by knockout just over a minute into the first round. The fight card was broadcast on the Paramount Network. Lawal’s fight shorts had the MLW logo on them during the event.
According to the report by PWInsider, Lawal has been in talks with MLW for about two months before agreeing to a contract.
Previously, Lawal had done some pro wrestling training in Ohio Valley Wrestling some years back after signing with both Bellator MMA and TNA Wrestling (Now Impact Wrestling). However, his run in TNA never panned out due to his MMA commitments.
