CANADA: Johnny Devine returns for Canadian Wrestling's Elite August tour

Posted on 7/05/119 by Danny Warren

Well! CWE's Cruel Summer Tour just got a lot more cruel for
anyone unfortunate enough to step foot in the ring with the
third headline talent slated to join WWF Legend The Warlord
and ROH's "Wildhorse" TK O'Ryan of The Kingdom, with the
signing of Alberta wrestling legend "Honey Badger" Johnny
Devine!

One of the last graduates of the infamous Hart Family
Dungeon, the original "Hotshot" of Canadian wrestling,
Johnny Devine returns to Alberta in a CWE ring for the first
time in over 3 years!

Although a Winnipeg native, Johnny Devine also considers
Calgary home as he relocated to the famous wrestling city to
begin his wrestling journey and became an instant hit upon
his debut.

As a young prospect in the wrestling business Johnny
Devine's stock went through the roof while competing for
Stampede Wrestling during a time it aired across the country
on television as time and time again Devine made the most of
his minutes on TV and stole the show, quickly making him a
star across the country although primarily competing for
Stampede Wrestling in Alberta at the time.

Soon after Johnny Devine would use his newly found super
stardom to start traveling across the country and proving he
was the top tier of any province or promotion he competed
in.

It wouldn't be long after the blue chipper got his big break
during the early years of TNA Wrestling as a member of Team
Canada and a featured competitor in the industry changing X-
Division.

After a near decade with TNA Wrestling Johnny Devine would
return to Canada and continue to build his legacy inside and
outside of the ring as a main event competitor for top
organizations in Ontario, Manitoba, and Alberta.

During his lengthy full time stays in each province Johnny
Devine made his foot print in the future of Canadian
wrestling by training countless of this generation's top
stars you are seeing excelling today.

Johnny Devine is loved across the country but arguably that
love is no greater in the province of Alberta and he returns
to compete on four events in what is sure to be a highly
anticipated homecoming for fans of today and yesteryear.

Those competing against Devine on the other hand will have
no love for "The Honey Badger" who has the reputation of
being one of the most hard hitting, smash mouth, take no
s*** competitors to ever lace up the boots who prides
himself on "stretching" opponents he feels don't match up to
his standard and don't deserve to share a ring with him. It
will be a cruel summer indeed for those across the ring from
