Backstage Update on Braun Strowman Being Taken Out of Money in the Bank Match

– During today’s edition of The Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer addressed the storyline last night on Monday Night Raw, where Braun Strowman lost to Sami Zayn in the main event. As a result, Braun Strowman has currently lost his spot in the men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match at this year’s event. While Strowman worked a 15-minute match last night, he’s said to be working with an undisclosed injury at the moment. Also, Strowman being taken out of the MITB match is set to be “part of a longer story that will play out.”

Meltzer added that Strowman’s current injury is not why he was taken out of the match, and it appears he’s not hurt enough to have to take time off.

Money in the Bank 2019 is set for Sunday, May in Hartford, Connecticut. The event will be held at the XL Center and will be broadcast live on the WWE Network.
