Bonnar: I Just Need To Keep Pushing Forward, That's What I Do

Stephan Bonnar knows that he_s a huge underdog going into his light heavyweight bout against Anderson Silva at UFC 153 later this month but he also knows that Silva is human and that he can be beat in any given fight.
Bonnar talked about his attitude towards the fight and getting the chance of a lifetime in an interview with MMAJunkie.com this week:
"I fight those blood-and-guts fights because I have to, because everything else isn_t working," he said. "Because if I_m getting hit, and I_ve got to survive. But I don_t need to. If I can work over a guy on the ground and pass his guard a bunch and go for stuff, why put myself in the fire if I don_t have to? When I go in the fire in those fights, it_s because I had to.
"If I could find a weakness or work him over on the ground, that_s great. But if I can_t and I_m forced to fight one of those blood-and-gut fights – I know he_s really accurate with his strikes. I know that. I_m going to get hit. I just need to keep pushing forward. That_s what I do."
"All I do know is when I get in there, I can_t help but fight my ass off," he said. "I can_t help but just give it everything I_ve got. If I_m not sleeping, I_m going to keep coming. I know no other way."
