After just a single fight outside of the octagon, promising upstart Chris Camozzi (15-4) has earned a second chance with the UFC.
Camozzi, who the public first met courtesy of the eleventh season of “The Ultimate Fighterâ€, earned two victories for the powerhouse promotion before being released after submitting to Kyle Noke at UFC 127.
A victory over veteran Joey Villasenor at Shark Fights 15 however has earned the 24 year old prospect a second shot on the big stage.
Camozzi is officially tapped to return to the UFC fold at UFC 137. He’ll welcome UFC newcomer Francis Carmont (16-7) in a preliminary bout.
Carmont earned his chance at the big leagues after recently compiling a five fight win streak. All five of those victories came via stoppage, with his most recent win, a technical knockout over UFC castaway Jason Day, lasting just 2:10.
