After just a single fight outside of the octagon, promising upstart Chris Camozzi (15-4) has earned a second chance with the UFC.
Camozzi, who the public first met courtesy of the eleventh season of “The Ultimate Fighter”, earned two victories for the powerhouse promotion before being released after submitting to Kyle Noke at UFC 127.
A victory over veteran Joey Villasenor at Shark Fights 15 however has earned the 24 year old prospect a second shot on the big stage.
Camozzi is officially tapped to return to the UFC fold at UFC 137. He’ll welcome UFC newcomer Francis Carmont (16-7) in a preliminary bout.
Carmont earned his chance at the big leagues after recently compiling a five fight win streak. All five of those victories came via stoppage, with his most recent win, a technical knockout over UFC castaway Jason Day, lasting just 2:10.
