Not long ago, Maiquel Falcao was being touted by the UFC as a new hot commodity; packing speed and brutal power, he appeared a stellar prospect. Until his past came back to haunt him.
The exact reasoning behind the UFC’s release of Falcao was never truly divulged, though promotional brass did indicate that same mistakes Falcao had made in his past led to his release.
Well, Falcao can breathe a sigh of relief, as, while he hasn’t been resigned to the UFC, he has signed a contract to compete for the respectable Bellator Fighting Championships. As has been the case for the majority of his career, Maiquel will compete as a middleweight.
"Big Rig", as he’s known sports a professional record of 28-4-0-1. He’s finished all but two of his career victims. Victories over Gerald Harris and seasoned veteran Arimarcel Santos anchor the Brazilian’s impressive résumé.
