Rashad Evans and Jon Jones will likely be the next match up for each other after Jones successfully defended the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship this past weekend against Rampage Jackson and Evans, who has wanted the fight for a while, was vocal about the champ while a guest on ProMMARadio.com this week.
Evans explained why he feels Jones is crazy, and why it won_t be an easy fight for him when they do meet:
"Right now, this dude_s on cloud nine. He thinks that he_s God_s gift to the fight game. I think he_s gonna think that he can just walk right through me. Now that he_s beat ‘Rampage,_ he_s gonna think that there_s nothing I could do. He_s seen my style and he_s gonna think there_s nothing I can do. He_s gonna go out there and just try and embarrass me. He thinks it_s gonna be an easy fight, but he_s gonna find out different."
"I don_t need Greg Jackson. I don_t need him. He was great for me at the time, but I don_t think there_s anything I could have learned being at that camp. I_ve reached the top level that I could reach with that camp. I knew I had to leave a while ago. Things just kinda got stagnant. Jon (Jones) will feel the same way. He won_t be there forever."
