Quinton Jackson and Jon Jones took part today in the UFC 135 press conference in Denver, Co, which lead to quite a few exchanges between the two top light heavyweight fighters.
Jackson, feels he has been unfairly group with the old school of fighters despite not being old at all and showed frustration during the conference:
"Who you calling old, dawg?" said Quinton _Rampage_ Jackson at the UFC 135 press conference.earlier today. " I_m only 33, man. You all act like I_m Randy Couture_s old decrepit ass ... goodness. You know, if I gotta represent the old school, then I gotta represent _em. Hell, ya_ll put me in that category, you know?"
Rampage also commented on his Pride days in comparison to Jon Jones being the youngest UFC Champion:
"I was younger than him (Jon Jones) when I started in Pride, I was 21, 22, when I was fighting people like Wanderlei, so I guess so, I_m old school. With old school comes experience. He_s the youngest champion, but I think he_s the least experienced champion in UFC history. All this stuff don_t matter to me, I just come to fight, get my belt back. That_s the only thing I care about."
The former UFC Light Heavyweight Champ also discussed his thoughts on their September match up and how he feels it will play out:
"I see Jon Jones getting destroyed. He_s got my belt, man, I want my belt back, man, I ain_t playing. All the pressure_s on him, I_m in a win-win situation. The last time I was this confident I knocked somebody out in the first round and I got that belt."
