According to Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission head Gregory Sirb, Charles Oliveira_s victory over Nik Lentz in a preliminary lightweight bout at UFC Live 4 has officially been overturned. The record books will now reflect a “no contestâ€, rather than a victory for the talented Brazilian.
During the fight, which streamed via the UFC’s facebook page, Oliviera landed an illegal knee to the face of Lentz. The knee went unnoticed by the referee, and not only enabled “Do Bronx†to secure a fight ending rear-naked choke, but also broke Lentz’s right orbital bone.
With the initial ruling now overturned, Charles Oliviera’s UFC record stands at 2-1-1, while Nik "The Carny" Lentz is still technically undefeated at 5-0-1-1.
