Just because you lose four fights in a row doesn_t ALWAYS mean you_re getting canned from the UFC. Just ask Dan Hardy who despite losing his last four outings, finds himself in a rare situation.
Hardy has a fan in UFC President Dana White and where as most fighters would be cut after losing 2-3 in a row, Hardy hasn_t received a pink slip just yet. The difference between Hardy and other fighters that get cut tends to lie in performance though as he always brings it in the cage.
The Brit spoke about his life and experiences since his journey with the UFC began while speaking with MMAJunkie.com this week:
"To be honest, every day is a little bit surreal for me," Hardy recently told MMAjunkie.com Radio. "Living in Vegas and fighting in the UFC and being able to walk through the streets and being recognized, it_s very odd. I_ve got an action figure, and I_m on video games. Every day is surreal."
"First and foremost, I_m in there to win, and it is difficult, especially being in this situation where I_m on a run of losses at the moment, which is a very, very alien circumstance to me," Hardy said. "I_ve never been here before. That_s very difficult to deal with, and it makes me a lot more philosophical about life and about my situation.
"Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. It_s kind of matured me a lot in a way, being in this situation. But the thing that_s helping me through is that support I_m getting from the fans and obviously the UFC being very supportive of what I_m doing is always nice."
