Fans hopeful to see Rich Franklin vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira booked for a later date after "Lil Nog" was forced out due to injury will likely have to keep waiting.
"It depends how long [Nogueira] is out, you know how that goes. A mandatory fight – like where Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard both get hurt – if they_re going to heal up and be ready by the same time, that_s the fight we_re going to do. But when you_ve got a fight like Rich and _Little Nog,_ we can do something else." UFC President Dana White said during a UFC Chat hosted by Ustream this week.
With the possibility of that fight not happening it opens the door for more match ups for Franklin and White also dropped what he felt could be the next one for the former Middleweight Champ.
"We do like the idea of Tito (Ortiz) vs. Rich Franklin."
Nothing was made official and but it could make for a money match up as the two former champs have always been popular amongst fans.
On the other side of the coin, Ortiz just fought back to back at UFC 132 and UFC 133 so he may be taking some time off.
