44 year old veteran, and former UFC middleweight champion Murilo Bustamante (14-8-1) has decided to return to action despite a recent career skid (the Top Team co-founder has compiled an unimpressive record of 2-4 in his last six outings).
Speaking with Sherdog.com, Bustamante shared the news that he’ll be returning to headline Clube da Luta, in Rio de Janeiro on July 20th.
Bustamante will meet DEEP veteran Yuya Shirai (20-9) in a 170 pound tilt.
The bout will mark Bustamante’s second bout in as many years. In his last professional outing he was stopped by TUF alum Jesse “JT Money” Taylor at Impact FC 2.
Also scheduled for the Clube da Luta event is a co-headlining bout between Delson Heleno (21-5) and Luis dutra Jr. (10-2-1) to be contested at 155 pounds.
