Shortly after the announcement of a featured middleweight clash between Vitor Belfort and Yoshihiro Akiyama, we’re learning that Dennis Hallman will also fight at UFC 133. He’ll meet the equally experienced Brian Ebersole in an intriguing welterweight affair.
Hallman, who’s been enjoying serious success in his third run with the UFC has now pieced together back-to-back wins for the promotion. In August of last year Hallman sent improving prospect Ben Saunders packing his bags for smaller promotions after securing a hard fought decision victory over the former The Ultimate Fighter cast member. He followed that performance up in November with a 1:47 trampling of struggling welterweight Karo Parisyan.
Brian Ebersole, who’s fought for nearly every promotion you can think of, made his UFC debut in February at UFC 127, where he secured a surprising unanimous decision victory over heavy favorite Chris Lytle.
While still not officially announced by the promotion, UFC 133 is expected to go down on August 6th, at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
