A total of eight medical suspensions were handed out in the wake of last weekend’s explosive Strikeforce: Henderson VS Babalu II event.
According to the Missouri Office of Athletics, Renato “Babalu” Sobral, Scott Smith and Matt Lindland – who all competed, and lost, on the main card - will face lengthy suspensions.
Smith and Babalu will face 60 day medicals as a result of their knockout defeats, while Matt Lindland will be out of commission for 120 days, and must receive neurological clearance before he’ll be able to return to competition.
30 day precautionary suspensions were also handed out to Mike Kyle, and preliminary competitors Max Martyniouk, Terrell Brown, Lee Brousseau and Coltin Cole.
