Riddle Out With Injury Matt Brown Left With No Opponent

Matt Brown was initially scheduled to meet Mark Scanlon at UFC Live 3 on March 3rd. The prospect of that meeting quickly fizzled, as Scanlon was forced to withdraw from the bout citing an injury. Of course, Brown had little to do but wait and hope for another opponent to fill the void.
Just when things looked down for Brown, fellow TUF alum Matt riddle answered the call of duty on short notice. A barn burner seemed all but inevitable with these two toeing the line, but then the unthinkable happened; Riddle too was forced from the card citing a hand injury suffered while training.
Versus was first to announce Riddle’s withdrawal, which comes as heartbreaking news for Brown and “The Immortal’s” fans. Win or lose, Matt Brown has built a legion of followers due to his willingness to put it all on the line, every time he enters the cage. Unfortunately, his trip to the octagon on March 3rd is now once again in question.
There’s still plenty of time to locate a replacement for Riddle, though no suggestions have been made public at this point.
