After being released by the UFC following back-to-back losses, Ben Saunders has gotten himself back on the winning track.
The World Extreme Fighting promotion hosted an event this weekend that featured the UFC castaway in a featured bout against once beaten Elijah Harshbarger. It didn’t take long for “Killa B” to notch another W, as he blitzed Harshbarger with a barrage of strikes that ended the bout in the first frame.
A few takedown attempts were the only legit offense Harshbarger offered, and Saunders, who’s clearly been working on his wrestling had no issues stuffing the shot before unleashing hell with his fists.
With the victory, Saunders’ career record now stands at 9-3-2. Given his personality and diverse fighting style, a few more wins outside of the octagon could see Saunders earn a second chance at fighting for the biggest promotion in North America.
