Another fight has been added to the UFC’s first show in Quebec City. Bantamweights George Roop (14-10-1 MMA, 4-6 UFC) and Dustin Kimura (11-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) have been added to the TUF Nations Finale in April. UFC officials announced the new fight booking on Thursday afternoon.
The event, which serves as the live finale for “The Ultimate Fighter Nations: Canada vs. Australia†reality series, takes place April 16 at Colisee Pepsi in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. It’s expected to air on FOX Sports 1 following prelims on UFC Fight Pass.
Roop in November was stopped by Franciso Rivera in the second round at the UFC’s “Fight for the Troops 3†show in Kentucky. That loss snapped a two-fight winning streak that saw him take a decision from Reuben Duran and knock out Brian Bowles at UFC 160.
Kimura this past month in Singapore stopped Jon Delos Reyes with a first-round armbar to get back in the win column after the first loss of his career. He was choked out by Mitch Gagnon at UFC 165 this past September, his first loss after starting his career 10-0, including a rear-naked choke win over Chico Camus in his UFC debut.
