New Japan wrestlers were busy today in other promotions, with no less than six stars out and about. Four of them headed to NOAH for a big show where victories were quite predictably traded, Nagata & Taguchi falling to Akiyama & KENTA in the main event when Akiyama used his wrist-clutch Exploder on Taguchi, for whom this was a big opportunity in a top match. The other match saw the first confrontation of Nakamura and Marufuji, as CHAOS’ Nakamura & Gedo beat Marufuji & Aoki when Nakamura Boma Ye’d Aoki. Both Nakamura and Marufuji spoke highly of each other’s ability and a rematch of some kind was suggested for the future. TAJIRI’s SMASH promotion held day and night shows, with the day show seeing young lion Kyosuke Mikami pick up the first victory of his career against indie youngster Yusuke Kodama. Later on, NO LIMIT’s Naito pinned KUSHIDA after his Stardust press.
